It is well known that the original sponge filters suppled with the FLEX 123 do not offer an
optimal filtration path. The water is pulled horizontally through the sponges reducing the
effect of any media within the sponges.
I spent many hours designing and tweeking these media baskets in my own aquarium until
I was happy with their functionality - you can see them working immediately.
The design of these baskets forces the water up and over an adjustable weir and down through
all of your chosen media, before being recycled back into the display via the return pump.
